HIPAA Security Specialist

Job Description:

Gravity Care is a modern Home Care Service company that is reinventing the way Caregiving families and Caregivers plan, by leveraging the power of mobile conversations and smart analytics and leading to multiple services.

We are looking for a HIPAA Security specialist who can implement technical security measures for our Mobile app to transmit secure messaging and booking of Home Care services.

You may be a great fit for our team if you are excited about exploring huge mobile data and put in place the appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to keep all information secure and finding effective ways to simplify and communicate the results to a non-technical audience.


About this role:

Developing and implementing security policies and procedures in accordance with the HIPAA Security Rule and all other applicable laws;

Reviewing and investigating all security incidents and ensuring that response and reporting procedures are followed and that harm caused by security incidents is mitigated to the extent practicable;

Cooperating with oversight agencies in any investigations of security violations;

Developing and conducting training on and fostering awareness of security policies and procedures to ensure that all company employees, receive adequate and appropriate security training;

Ensuring that all documentation required by the HIPAA Security Rule is created and maintained for six years from the date it was created or was last in effect whichever is later;

Various other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

** The job requires experience in using the Gravity Care App

Experience in the management of both physical and logical information security systems.

Strong technical skills (iOS mobile Application security, SMS, Mobile malware, vulnerability assessments, security audits, etc).

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently.

Ability to weigh business risks and enforce appropriate information security measures.

In-depth knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule and other government technology laws.
